Saratoga Partnership Develops New Tools to Market Saratoga County

New logo and website for the Saratoga County IDA further align the county’s economic development marketing with its world-class business resources

Malta, NY
– The Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, the county’s designated economic development agency, today announced the completion and launch of new marketing resources that strengthen the collaborative effort to attract new businesses and private investment to Saratoga County.

In its role of leading economic development branding and marketing efforts for Saratoga County, the Saratoga Partnership worked with the Saratoga County Industrial Development Agency (IDA)to spearhead development of the agency’s new logo – its first since the organization was founded nearly 50 years ago – and a modern website to replace one that had not been updated in more than a decade.

Aligned with the brand identity of the Saratoga Partnership, the new IDA logo and website support a unified message that effectively markets Saratoga County’s world-class business tools and assets to prospective companies and employees across a variety of industries. The website also provides operational transparency that is important to both internal and external stakeholders.

The new marketing resources also complement a unique business incentive program already in effect. The Saratoga Partnership refunds to applicants the fees it receives for processing IDA applications – the only economic development organization in the Capital Region that does so – as a way of further supporting economic development and job growth.

“It is critical that we speak with one voice when promoting Saratoga County as a great place to work and do business, and this initiative is an important step forward in making that a reality,” said Edward Kinowski, Chairman of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors. “I commend the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership for its outstanding leadership and collaboration in developing a modern and professional economic development brand for the IDA that ultimately serves Saratoga County well.”

“A unified and coordinated approach to promoting the advantages of Saratoga County to businesses near and far is necessary to drive long-term, sustainable economic development,” said Marty Vanags, President of the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership. “We are delighted to have partnered with the IDA to strengthen the marketing resources that let businesses know Saratoga County’s economic development organizations are committed to their success.”

“Saratoga County has been the focal point of economic development in Upstate New York for the past 30 years. With its stable tax base, diverse workforce, and a good transportation network, Saratoga County is the place to invest,” said IDA Chairman Rod Sutton. “The Saratoga County IDA is proud to partner with the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership in developing a new and comprehensive website promoting the benefits of locating businesses in Saratoga County. Please visit the website at www.saratogacountyida.orgto learn more about the advantages and vision of economic development in Saratoga County.”

The new website, www.saratogacountyida.org, is easy to navigate, offers the operational transparency of a public authority, and promotes the Saratoga County IDA’s mission, economic development benefits, and the economic development projects it has successfully assisted since being created in 1971.
