Feedback on Post Prom Public Service Announcement · The General Manager of the company that owns MAGIC 100.9 and FLY 92 has asked for feedback on a PSA she wrote, discouraging parents from serving alcohol at graduation parties. The announcement will run during the month of June. Suggestions included:

· PSA is too long. Need something short to grab peoples’ attention.

· Use a real story of parents held liable for serving minors to make the message more powerful.

· Leave out the four friends.

· Use sound effect of a crashing car.

· Record dialogue between mother and son, son saying he wants his own party, mother responding.

· Partnership staff will find out how best to relay these suggestions to the right person.
Youth Development Work Group · Because of the sparse turnout before the Easter holiday, group decided to concentrate solely on developing an action plan and timeline for Youth Development project. Barbara Lombardo agreed that the idea of profiling young people in The Saratogian was a good one.

· Keys to success will be nomination criteria and keeping the section running continuously.

· Group discussed having The Saratogian, SSPD, and Prevention Council post the nomination form on their websites.

· Stephanie Lang drafted a preliminary nomination form.

· Judy Tirelli suggested profiling the students helping put the Post Prom party together so the feature can start in May.

· Group discussed sending certificates of honor to each nominee and throwing a party or some recognition event for them once a year.

· "Kids Building Community" profile will run once a month. If we get lots of nominations, we can reconsider running them more often.

· Group agreed on eligibility criteria:

· Youth who live in Saratoga County age 12-17 making a difference in their communities

· Review nominations with school administrators to verify each nominee is a good role model

· Robin Ambrosino will relay information about nominees to Barb each month. Saratogian reporters will research and write the profiles.

· Partnership staff will finalize form by April 30th and distribute it.

· Judy will collect contact names and info and relay to Barb and Robin the week after spring break.

· Partnership staff will create and send certificates. No decision reached on celebration event.

Next Meeting The next Partnership meeting will take place on Thursday, May 13th at the new district administration offices, 3 Blue Streak Blvd, 2nd fl.(old Junior High wing of the High School on Circular Street). N/a
