Profiles in Character
March 2008
|
March's Theme:
Trustworthiness |
From Geyser Road Elementary School
Jade Leal, Kindergarten, Age
6: Jade is always dependable, hardworking,
and helpful toward other students and her teachers. I can rely on
Jade to help her peers when I am helping other students. She always
makes positive choices and for this she deserves recognition for
being trustworthy.
Stephen Pucello, Grade 4:
Stephen is a classroom family member who everyone can trust as their
friend. Stephen respects, is honest with and cares for each
classroom member and all Geyser Road School members as dear friends.
Stephen is always honest and will do his best to complete a task
when asked by anyone.
From Maple Avenue Middle School
Danielle Waseleski, Grade
7, Age 12:
Danielle is new to the Saratoga Springs City School District this year
and arrived a couple of weeks into the school year. Ever since the
day she first started school here, she has carried herself in a
manner that exudes high character and trustworthiness. When talking
to several of her other teachers, the same type of comments are
consistently made about how much of a pleasure she is to have in
class and what a great role model she is for the other students. Due
to her immense respect for others and her commitment to honesty, she
is one of the most trustworthy students that I have. I can always
count on her for anything that I need help with, whether it’s an
errand or something that I need help with in the classroom. Besides
her teachers considering her a dependable and reliable student, many
of her peers consider her to be a trusted friend. She is always kind
and careful of others’ feelings. She continuously displays her
trustworthy character both in and outside of the classroom.
Andrea Fauler, Grade 7, Age
12:
As captain for the Saratoga Freshman Cheerleading Squad, Andrea always
shared qualities of trustworthiness. I would have to depend on her
to take care of certain things that I couldn’t such as calling the
teams with reminders and changes. Also her whole team trusted her as
they recognized that when she was spotting, basing or backing them
they were always safe.
From Saratoga Springs High School
Kristey Palmisano, Grade
11, Age 16:
Kristey has been involved in the high school NCBI (National Coalition
Building Institute) program for the past 4 years. She is
consistently reliable, dependable and trustworthy. Kristey is the
type of person who always “steps up” and “steps forward” to help
others. She can always be counted on to be kind, compassionate and
respectful of others.
