Economic development is not an island activity. It takes bold leadership, collaboration, and communication across both the public and private sectors for prosperity to occur in a community. The Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, as the official economic development entity for Saratoga County, is excelling at all of these things.

In the past year, the Partnership rolled out a comprehensive economic development plan for Saratoga County and launched a business retention and expansion initiative with great fanfare. Both the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County have signed memorandums of understanding to work with us. As the newly minted marketing agent of Luther Forest Technology Campus, the Partnership is the driving force for a renewed focus on attracting related semiconductor industry business to the area. And, we’re working toward an agreement  with our sister organization, the Saratoga County IDA, that will help them become more efficient and appealing to businesses looking to make deals here.

Altogether, this means we’re creating a comprehensive one-stop shop for economic development in Saratoga County.

I know I speak for both the public and private members of our board when I say we are proud of the infrastructure that has been built and successes that have been accomplished in such a short time, and remain committed to the Partnership and its mission.
